Overview

Where We Begin

The Marvel Universe has been shattered. The mutant population has all but been driven to extinction by M-Day, and further splinted by the events of the Messiah Complex, which culminated in the disbanding of the X-Men and a bullet in the head of Charles Xavier.

Things were little better for the rest of the Marvel Universe. In response to the initiation of the Superhuman Registration Act, heroes of the world find themselves divided among those for and against it. Ultimately a Civil War breaks out between these factions, which sees the Avengers split into opposing teams, and ultimately the death of Captain America.

Before the dust can settle, World War Hulk is unleashed upon the world, threatening to destroy what little is left standing of the Marvel Universe. This is a time of conflict and division among heroes, ushering in a new, darker era.

And anything can happen...
